I've never complained about the speed or visual goodness. Graphics Processing Unit which will function to carry out your graphics calculations. I'm intermediate skill level at best, with tech stuff. I have a 9800gt which up until now has run everything on ultra except black ops which was just high and il actually be disappointed if a 9000 series card can run this game near max. And no custom settings in the ini file! Because of this programmers can find ways to make the game work well with the given hardware specifications. Anything higher then that resolution and most graphics cards are really processing alot of info. I dont want to go lagging around everywhere Ty for help.
Past-tense is because I'm now running Skyrim with the Oculus Rift, so an entirely different mod and graphics configuration. I'm hoping Skyrim takes Gaming to a whole new level. Is skyrim going to be a console port - what a joke. Bigger is better, nice and easy. It also always sounds like my pc is overheating cause my fans make so much damn noise.
It really ruined the immersion for me. Can anyone help me please. I understand the minimum requirements are to play it minimally but I can't play it at all. Those will never be the system requirements. My specs are: I7 2600k, asus p8z68 deluxe mobo, gskill 8 gb, 1600 mhz rip jaw rams, msi 580gtx twin frozr 2 , windows 7 ultimate edition. Those will never be the system requirements. Medium to Ultra though you can really tell where your taxing your system. Also a fact that the game stays on directx 9. My Skyrim runs terribly on my pc.
Minimum requirements are for those who will play on old pcs. Obviously the gamebyro engine might not have been able to handle it but not having to load everything from the hard drive every fast travel would have been nice. But evaluating whether or not your computer meets or exceeds hardware requirements is our specialty. Skyrim needs a moderate to higher quality dedicated graphics card to run it. I don't really need high setting just normal would be nice. You might just have to try them out and see if your frame-rate holds, Solitude is a good place to test since it seems to be the most demanding. That's all kind of overkill.

I don't want to by the game when I won't be able to play it. Although, i really don't wanna shell out for a new system right now, so lets hope my gut feeling is wrong. It has the 18 inch screen with full 1080p display so 1920x1080 would be around what I run it at I suppose. A brand new game like this and it can run on 2 or 3 year old systems on high? Now I know my pc isn't very sofisticated but it can run on minimum requirements. I meet or exceed all of the requirements. At least, we shall see about that.
Yes, Oblivion was a console port, and Skyrim will be too. That's not outrageous, unless your barely running Oblivion. You can get through the entire game on level 1? I would say you are right that the graphics is integrated. Sort of bad news i know, but good to know where you are in order to get where you want to be. I think it's great for those folks that have built a bleeding edge system, to take advantage of the hardware they've invested in. Please, help me, because I feel a bit teased, because I'm hyped to play this with extremely high settings because my computers' specs are so much higher, and then I get shot down. Shadows can be scaled as you like also. Repeat violators of this rule will be banned and reported to the site admins. My resolution is at 1920x1080 ultra settings with the exception of shadows on High, and I'm running a strong 60fps indoors and usually 55-60fps outside, though in particularly dense areas I will drop to 50fps.
